Formerly known as the Cable Beach Golf Club, Baha Mar is the oldest golf course on the islands. It went by its old name until 2017, when champion golfer-turned-course designer, Jack Nicklaus, developed the property as part of a massive new resort and casino project. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Reef Golf Course boasts a link-style layout that has bigger and more water features than the average course. Despite this, the fairways are wide and the greens are mostly fat, giving golfers a brief respite from the course’s many tough bunkers and other obstacles.
This 18-hole championship course gives the southern portion of the Bahamas its own world-class greens. Designed by World Golf Hall of Famer Greg “The Shark” Norman, the Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Club features some of the most picturesque oceanside holes in all of the Caribbean, with six of them created by Norman himself. Many of the course’s features are both challenging and forgiving at the same time, making it appealing to seasoned and newbie golfers alike.
Dubbed by many as the fnest golf course on the islands, The Abaco Club is immediately imposing from the tee. Adding to its allure is the Club’s more tranquil seting on Winding Bay, making it a haven for those who want a litle more quiet time on the greens.
